Contact centers realize full benefits of Inova LightLink 5.7.404 and agent desktop applications
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA, March 8, 2010 – Inova Solutions has released a new version of its award-winning middleware, Inova LightLink™. Powering several different call center reporting products, LightLink most recently has allowed for enhancements to Inova Desktop Presenter™, a desktop application that displays real-time metrics and messaging. Desktop Presenter is now providing more benefits to contact centers through ease of installation, added security and user administration.
Upgraded software delivers enhanced benefits
The new version of LightLink provides an even simpler installation process by allowing the system to be preconfigured. When a user logs in, Desktop Presenter applications are ready to go and do not have to be individually configured on each machine.
Another valuable benefit in the new edition of LightLink is that authentication and messaging are tied to Microsoft Windows user names rather than IP addresses. Authenticating by user name provides added security by only allowing users to see messages tied specifically to individual log-ins. Users can also log in remotely for access to desktop applications and messages. This direct-connect mechanism allows for Desktop Presenter applications to connect from subnets other than the one on which the LightLink server is running without requiring router configurations to propagate multicast packets.
